How do I create a new note?

Click the Pinly icon in the menu bar at the top-right of your screen, then select "New Note".

How do I add an image to a note?

Drag and drop any image directly onto a note, or paste an image from your clipboard. You can also take a screenshot and paste it straight in.

I can't find the app after launching — where is it?

Pinly lives in your menu bar. Look for the Pinly icon in the top-right corner of your screen (next to Wi-Fi and battery icons).

Where are my notes saved?

All notes are saved locally on your Mac. No account or internet connection is required.

How do I delete a note?

Right-click (or Control-click) on a note to open the context menu, then select "Delete".

Can I minimize a note?

Yes — click the minimize button on a note to collapse it. Click again to bring it back.

Does Pinly work on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3)?

Yes. Pinly is a native macOS app and runs natively on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.

Pinly is a macOS desktop app that does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data stays on your device.

We do not collect any data. Pinly does not require an account, does not connect to any server, and does not send any information from your device.

Your notes (text, images, and settings) are stored locally on your Mac. We have no access to this data.

Pinly does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Pinly does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since we collect no data at all, this is not applicable.

If this policy changes, we will update this page with a new date.
