Frequently asked

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I play Fruitette?

Pick a board and it shows faded slots โ€” the shape of the artwork you're filling. Tap any fruit in the tray and it drops into the active slot. Tap a filled slot to take that piece back out, and long-press a fruit before dropping it to choose how it's cut: whole, half, slice, or wedge. Fill every slot, tap Complete, and you'll get a score and up to three stars.

How does the star rating work?

Stars come from colour harmony, not speed โ€” there is no timer. Two opposite colours on the wheel (orange and blue, say) is complementary and earns three stars. Three neighbouring colours is analogous, and a single colour is monochrome; both earn two stars. No harmony earns one star. Rarer fruit adds points on top, and garnishes like mint or pearls score points without affecting harmony.

How do I save my artwork to Photos?

When you complete an arrangement, the finish screen has a save button that writes the image to your photo library. The first time you tap it, iOS asks for permission to add photos โ€” that's the standard system prompt. If you said no earlier and want to change it, go to iOS Settings โ†’ Fruitette โ†’ Photos and allow adding photos. Fruitette only ever adds images; it never reads the photos you already have.

How do I share an artwork?

The finish screen also has a share button. It hands the image to the normal iOS share sheet, and you pick where it goes โ€” Messages, Instagram, AirDrop, anywhere. Fruitette doesn't upload your artwork anywhere on its own.

Will I lose my progress if I delete the app?

Yes. Fruitette stores everything on your device and there is no account or cloud backup, so deleting the app deletes your progress, stars, and unlocks for good. There's no way for us to restore it โ€” we never had a copy. If you're only moving to a new phone, an encrypted iPhone backup or a direct device-to-device transfer carries the app's data across.

How do I turn off the music or sound effects?

Both toggles live at the top of the Home screen: the music note icon turns background music on and off, and the speaker icon does the same for sound effects. Your choice is remembered the next time you open the app.

Does Fruitette work offline?

Yes, completely. Fruitette has no accounts and no server โ€” everything runs on your device, so the whole game works in airplane mode.
